Moments from the informative workshop / Caves and bat roosting sites in the area of Kopaida

The LIFE GRECABAT’s Action C4 workshop, that was co-organized with the Municipality of Orchomenos and the Management Unit of the National Parks of Parnassos, Oiti and Protected Areas of Eastern Central Greece (of NECCA), was successfully completed at the hospitable premises of the Folklore - Historical Museum of Akraefnio [Thursday 30/06/2022 11:00 - 15:00]. During the meeting, the issues of management and conservation of the cave habitat and of the cave species in relation to the sustainable local development of the area were presented and discussed.    

The meeting presented the actions and materials produced in the framework of LIFE GRECABAT, such as the Educational Suitcase (https://www.lifegrecabat.eu/el/enimerotiko-yliko), the virtual cave exploration application (VR: https://www.lifegrecabat.eu/el/news-articles/311), prototype devices (Troglometers: https://www.lifegrecabat.eu/el/news-articles/313). The Mayor of Orchomenos Paraskevi Karali and the Head of the management unit Eleni Koukou welcomed the proceedings of the workshop, while local stakeholders and residents of the area participated.
