The shooting of LIFE GRECABAT tv spot has begun.
A highly productive two-day event was held on 20 - 21st of June with presentations and discussion on the progress of LIFE GRECABAT and a visit to a cave included. The project team is stronger than ever.
The LIFE GRECABAT team, in cooperation with Management Body of Cyclades’ Protected Areas, the Naxos Island Wildlife Protection and the Municipality of Naxos and the Small Cyclades, is organizing an event celebrating the European Natura 2000 Day on Tuesday May 21, 2019 from 17:30 until 20:30, at the building of the Greek-French School of Ursulines, Naxos.
The abandoned mines of the Dadia National Park are among the most important bats' shelters in Greece. The LIFE-GRECABAT team visited them on March 7, 2019 to record the spring colonies.
The two-entrance cave in the area of Zesta Nera, in Sidirokastro, Serres is opened into travertine, with Krousovitis river running through it. On its first visit, the LIFE-GRECABAT team recorded the general state of the natural environment of the cave and the surrounding area.
