Action C5- Information Entry Form for Bats and Cave Fauna

The study of cave life had from its beginnings benefited optimally from non-professional cavers, who with their courage and dedication, contributed to the collection of data/information from places unknown and inaccessible to most researchers of their time.

Intending to enhance citizen science, LIFE GRECABAT, among other things, developed a special application for smart devices (smartphones & tablets) and web browsers.

Meeting of LIFE17 NAT & GIE projects

The meeting of the LIFE17 NAT & GIE projects took place in Brussels on November 8-9 2018. The schedule of the meeting included, among others, the presentation of the project "Greek Caves and Bats: Management Actions and Change of Attitude" (LIFE17 NAT/GR/000522 - LIFE GRECABAT).

In the beginning of September 2018 LIFE-Nature "Greek Caves and Bats: Management Actions and Change of Attitudes", LIFE17 NAT/GR/000522 - LIFE GRECABAT, was launched. Its goal is to inform the public about cave animals, implement new monitoring systems and promote integrated cave management.

The Kick-off Meeting of the Program: "Greek Caves and Bats: Management Actions and Change of Attitude", LIFE17 NAT/GR/000522 - LIFE GRECABAT, was completed successfully. The meeting was held on Thursday, November 22, 2018 (11:30 - 15:30) at Villa Kazouli (241 Kifissias Avenue, Kifissia). Prior to the Kick-off Meeting, an Educational Seminar of the co-beneficiaries of the program took place in the same venue (09:00 - 11:15).
