It is with great pleasure that we announce that in the second half of June 2024 the project for the protection of the habitat and colonies of bats in the cave of Za in Naxos was completed, which was implemented in the framework of Action C1 " Protection, restoration and management of important roosting sites for bats" of our LIFE GRECABAT Project.
The births of bats started a few weeks ago. Until the end of July, it is particularly important to avoid disturbance in their nurseries, as disturbance can lead to newborns falling on the floor of the shelter and their death.
In April 2024, the project for the protection of the habitat and colonies of bats in the Drainage Tunnels in Panagopoula, Achaia, was completed, which was implemented in the framework of Action C1 “Protection, restoration and management of important roosting sites for bats" of our LIFE GRECABAT Project.
