Action C2: Installation of the early warning monitoring system in Cave of Lakes

We are pleased to announce that last week we successfully completed the installation of the monitoring system of Action C2 "Establishment of monitoring and early warning systems for caves and bat colonies" of LIFE GRECABAT project, in the Cave of Lakes of Achaia. The system's correct operation was checked and final adjustments were made. The system will record and transmit real-time data on the environmental prameters inside and outside the cave (temperature, humidity, CO2 levels etc.) and will monnitor the bats main roosting site through remote-controlled infrared surveillance cameras. It will be also used as an early warning system in the event of excessive values in the monitored parameters ​​or other specific problems.
