Bat Night / Paleomylos Sinkhole (Akraifnio)

A special event was organized by the scientific team of LIFE GRECABAT at the entrance of Paleomylos sinkhole in Akraifnio, Boeotia on Thursday 30/06/2022 (from 19:30 to 23:00), following the workshop in Akraifnio, the researchers of the project demonstrated the way of working and the equipment (Bat detectors, sampling nets, animal handling) for the recording of bats. The attendees had the opportunity to watch the work of the researchers and see bats up close while attending interesting information about the biology and ecology of these species, clarifying the difference between myth and reality, overcoming fears and prejudices.
