Participation in the 1st International Bat Night in Greece

The LIFE GRECABAT project participates in the 1st International Bat Night, taking place in Greece on 22th of September, 7:00 p.m., at the Amphitheatre of Peristeri Municipality, Athens.

Speakers of the event will be Anastasios Legakis Department of Biology, University of Athens, Mr. Ioannidis Ioannis, Biologist, M.Sc., expert in use of bat detectors and bat sound analysis and Dr. Georgios Papamichail, LIFE GRECABAT Project Manager, introducing us to the world of bats. Bat ecology, their behavior (ethology) and echolocation will be among the topics mentioned, as well as the importance of the bats in the ecosystem. After the educational “trip” to the bats’ world, a demonstration of bat detectors usage will take place.
