LIFE GRECABAT IN LIFE PROGRAMS NETWORKING DAY

A very important two-day event for LIFE programs in Greece took place on October 23rd and 24th under the initiative of the integrated LIFE-IP 4 NATURA program at Villa Kazouli.

Fourteen LIFE programs currently under progress in Greece dealing with nature and the management of the Natura 2000 network, met and presented their actions and experiences focusing on good practices and dissemination methods followed by LIFE Programs, as well as awareness raising and public education, including methods of stakeholder engagement:

  • LIFE-IP 4 NATURA (LIFE Integrated Project),
  • Greek Task Force (LIFE Capacity Building),
  • Forest Life (LIFE Environmental Governance and Information),
  • LIFE GRECABAT,
  • Egyptian Vulture - New LIFE,
  • LIFE Bonelli EastMed,
  • LIFE Prespa Waterbirds,
  • Life PRIMED,
  • AMYBEAR LIFE,
  • LIFE Safe Crossing,
  • Life ForOpenForests,
  • LIFE Re-Vultures,
  • LIFE FALKON and
  • LIFE Andros Park.

In addition, the representatives of the Programs participated in interactive exercises aiming for common points.

Finally, all representatives were briefed on issues such as the National Priority Framework and the methodological approaches (developed by LIFE IP) for the evaluation of ecosystems and the ecosystem services they provide.
